Agreement to these terms

We are Stash AI Ltd ('Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17428170.

We operate the mobile application Stash AI (the 'App') and any related services that link to these Terms (collectively, the 'Services').

By downloading and using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Age requirement: The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Services. For users in the EU/EEA, the GDPR age of digital consent varies between 13 and 16 by country; if you are below the digital-consent age in your country, a parent or guardian must consent on your behalf. We do not knowingly process the personal information of children below the applicable age — see Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

1. Our services

Stash AI is a personal finance management app that helps you track spending, manage budgets, monitor subscriptions, set savings goals, and gain AI-powered financial insights through our assistant, Atlas.

Important: Stash AI is a financial tracking and budgeting tool. It is not a regulated financial service, investment adviser, or bank. Nothing in the App constitutes financial advice. All financial decisions are your own responsibility.

The Services are hosted in the United Kingdom. If you access the App from outside the UK, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

2. Intellectual property

All content in the App — including the software, design, graphics, logos, and the Atlas AI assistant — is owned by or licensed to Stash AI Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your own device strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the App or any of its content without our express written permission.

Your data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the financial data you enter into the App. See Section 8 for more details.

3. User accounts

You must register with a valid email address and password to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or that violate these Terms.

You may enable biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID) for added security. Biometric data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Stash AI offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Premium features require an active subscription.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method automatically on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Payments are processed by Apple In-App Purchase (via the App Store) and managed by RevenueCat for entitlement tracking. We do not see or store your card details — all payment information is handled by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Accepted payment methods: Any payment method supported by your Apple ID for In-App Purchases. Prices are displayed in your local currency where supported by Apple.

Price changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will give you advance notice before any price change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from within the App. Your access to Premium features will continue until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partially used billing periods.

Refunds: As this is a digital service, we do not offer refunds except where required by UK consumer law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@stashai.co.uk.

5. Free trial

New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial of Stash AI Premium. At the end of the trial, your account will automatically be charged at the standard monthly rate unless you cancel before the trial period ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.

6. AI features (Atlas)

Stash AI includes Atlas, an AI-powered financial assistant. Atlas uses Google Cloud AI (Gemini) to analyse your financial data and generate personalised insights and recommendations.

Please note:

• Atlas provides general financial information and insights based on the data you enter. It is not a substitute for professional financial advice.
• Do not enter sensitive personal information unrelated to your finances (such as identity documents or health information) into the Atlas chat.
• AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate. Always use your own judgement when acting on any insight provided by Atlas.
• Your conversation data is processed by Google Cloud AI in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Prohibited activities

You agree not to use the App to:

• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App's software
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to disrupt, disable, or overburden the App or its infrastructure
• Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App by automated means
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the App in any way that could harm us, other users, or third parties

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

8. Your financial data

The financial data you enter into Stash AI — including transactions, budgets, savings goals, and subscription details — belongs to you.

We process your data solely to provide the App's features, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your financial data to third parties.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on information displayed in the App.

You can export or request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@stashai.co.uk. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.

9. Third-party services

The App integrates with the following third-party services to function:

Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.

10. App Store distributors

When you download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the following also applies:

• The licence granted to you is limited to use on a device running Apple iOS or Android, as applicable
• Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or any claims relating to it — that responsibility lies with us
• In the event of an App failure affecting a warranty, you may notify the relevant App Store. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App Store has no further warranty obligation
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to embargo or on any government restricted party list
• Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you

11. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Financial disclaimer: The App is a budgeting and tracking tool only. It does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App.

12. Limitations of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY UK LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS OUR LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER UK LAW.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stash AI Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Term and termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

If your account is terminated, you must stop using the App immediately. You may not re-register using a different name or email address to circumvent a termination.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

16. Dispute resolution

We hope to resolve any issues informally first. If you have a complaint, please contact us at support@stashai.co.uk and we will try to resolve it within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in London, England, conducted in English under the rules of a mutually agreed arbitration body. Class action arbitration is not permitted.

Exceptions — the following may be brought directly to court without prior arbitration:

• Claims to protect intellectual property rights
• Claims relating to theft, fraud, or privacy violations
• Claims for emergency injunctive relief

17. Modifications and interruptions

We may update, modify, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime, modifications, or discontinuation of the Services.

18. Privacy policy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it at: https://stashai.co.uk/privacy.

The App is hosted in the United Kingdom. By using the App from outside the UK, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the UK.

19. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stash AI Ltd regarding the App. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party at any time.
